Location
'Tyseley Warwick Road' is the start point for many Vintage Trains tours.
It is our private platform situated within the Tyseley Locomotive Works site. The site was formerly known as Birmingham Railway Museum.
Access to the platform is from TLW site car park.
It is situated on the A41 Warwick Road about 10 minutes walk from Tyseley mainline station.
By Road
If travelling via the Motorway system one route is to leave the M42 at junction 5 and follow the A41 towards Birmingham.
There are a very limited number of signs to Birmingham Railway Museum or Tyseley Loco Works as you get get closer to the site (displayed on the A34, A41and on the A45). Please note : we do not control the display and siting of these signs.

Free Car Park
There is a large car park at the Tyseley Locomotive Works. Passengers joining our trains at Tyseley Warwick Road (or joining the Shakespeare Express at Tyseley mainline station) may use this car park - free of charge.
Notice : Vehicles and contents left in the TLW Car Park are entirely at the vehicle owners risk.
The car park fills up rapidly on Tyseley Open Days, so unless you arrive early you may need to make alternative arrangements to get to the event. 'Park & Ride' options are usually displayed on the Open Day event pages.
By Train to Tyseley
There are local trains to Tyseley mainline station from Birmingham Snow Hill, Birmingham Moor Street, Shirley, Solihull, Leamington, Stratford, Stourbridge, Worcester and other stations on the 'Snow Hill Lines services' operated by London Midland.
Please allow 10 minutes for the walk from Tyseley mainline station to Tyseley Warwick Road which is within the Tyseley Locomotive Works site (marked as Birmingham Railway Museum on some maps) .

By Bus
There is a bus service (WM Travel No. 37) along the Warwick Road from/to Birmingham City Centre (Corporation Street) and Solihull.
Overnight Accommodation
There are a number of hotels & guest houses in Birmingham and Solihull that are only a short distance by road from the station.
