Itinerary
Our annual opportunity for you to travel to Llandudno and the heart of Snowdonia behind our Castle Class locomotive 5043 “Earl of Mount Edgcumbe”, travelling via Stafford, Crewe and Chester to Llandudno Junction. Once at Llandudno Junction, passengers can choose to travel into Llandudno Town station by service train for a day at this classic seaside resort, or remain onboard as the train reverses for an exciting journey up the steep and winding branch-line to Blaenau Ffestiniog hauled by our heritage Class 47 diesel.
Upon alighting at Blaenau Ffestiniog, passengers who have opted for the special Vintage Trains excursion on the Ffestiniog Railway will join the slate quarry inspired narrow-gauge railway for the return journey to Porthmadog.
Alternatively, passengers can spend a few hours in Blaenau Ffestiniog exploring the Llechwedd Slate Caverns and Victorian Village, before returning to Llandudno Junction.
Destinations include: Llandudno Junction, Llanrwst, Blaenau Ffestiniog. (Destination must be specified at time of booking)

Pick up : Tyseley Warwick Road*, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Stafford and Crewe.
* Please note that there is a 10 minute walk between Tyseley mainline station and Tyseley Warwick Road Platform.
Set down : Llandudno Junction, Llanrwst, Blaenau Ffestiniog. (Destination must be specified at time of booking)
Times : subject to confirmation
Tickets, final information and confirmed timings are mailed out to passengers AS SOON AS VINTAGE TRAINS RECEIVE FINAL TIMINGS FROM NETWORK RAIL, normally about ten days before a tour is scheduled to depart.

Juniors & Children within Dining Cars: There is no special child menu & no reduced child fare in Premier Class. We regret we are unable to accommodate children under 5 in the dining cars.

Note : Trains Returning to Tyseley via Stafford & Wolverhampton
Due to occasional Network Rail track possessions, trains returning to Tyseley via Stafford and Wolverhampton may be diverted from the planned route via Birmingham New Street station requiring diesel pilot locomotives to be attached from Bescot through to Tyseley.
