Itinerary
At high water in the afternoon of Sunday 3 June 2012, up to a thousand boats will muster on the River Thames in preparation for Her Majesty The Queen to lead the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It will be one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the river.
Vintage Trains are honoured to be able run a steam tour to London’s Kensington Olympia station to celebrate this event. The only engine we would consider for this day would be 6201 Princess Elizabeth named in 1933 after Her Majesty.
We will depart from Solihull towards the Capital along the Chiltern Mainline, racing through the Oxford and Buckinghamshire countryside towards our destination, London’s Kensington Olympia station. Upon arrival, passengers will alight for a day out in London to watch the festivities.
