Tour Updates
16/02/12 - When we ran The Red Rose last year, we were re-routed through Manchester Victoria and up Miles Platting bank on our way to Copy Pit due to engineering works. This year we have been given the same revised route. So now we get two hill-climbs for the price of one!
Please join us on this not-to-be-missed excursion
Itinerary
See Stop Press for route revision details
Following on from the success of the Copy Pit leg of 5043’s hill-climbing tour, we have decided to attack the hills again with a Stanier Pacific. If you missed this thrilling and invigorating trip last year, you will not want to be on the sidelines this time.
Our route takes us from Tyseley to Crewe, Manchester Victoria, Miles Platting, Huddersfield, Copy Pit, Blackburn, Farington Junction and Crewe before returning to Birmingham. There will be a short layover in Blackburn whilst the loco is serviced and watered.
Steam hauled by 6201 Princess Elizabeth throughout.
